Summit Resorts & Developments Ltd (Summit Resorts – the Company) is a Property Finance Company that has an exclusive agreement to fund and develop leisure facilities and outdoor adventure park businesses in the UK, with the initial Peak District site operating as Summit @ PEAK.
The Company operates a standard developer model whereby each development is held in a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV). Summit Resorts provides funding to each SPV via securitised commercial loan agreements and all SPV’s are controlled by the Company, who will provide the management for all activities and the developments themselves.
Record-breaking adventurer and sustainability campaigner Robert Swan OBE joins the Summit Resorts & Developments team as the lead ambassador for the project.
As the first person to walk to both the North and South Poles, and through his role as a UN ambassador for young people, Robert brings authenticity, experience and exudes the spirit of what the indoor activity centre will be about: curiosity, education, awareness, enjoyment and progress
‘In Oct 2020, Robert visited the Summit @ PEAK site, located in the Sheffield City Region alongside the Peak District National Park, to experience the land first-hand and meet with some key stakeholders within the local community. During the visit, Robert expressed his excitement for the project and discussed how the business mission to take a conscious and sustainable approach across all areas of the operation were well aligned to his life’s work.
The Company's goal is to set new standards for how our landscape is viewed, developed and enjoyed. We are confident that the partnership with Robert Swan OBE is not only authentic to the Summit brand but also helps to position us as pioneers for this kind of development, both now and into the future.

Barney Swan is the founder of ClimateForce and was born in London and raised in tropical Far North Queensland, Australia where he is currently based. Being raised off grid in Australia helped him develop an acute understanding of how valuable energy is, with conveniences often not being an option.
In January 2018, after skiing 600 nautical miles with two fellow explorers, Barney was part of the first team in history to trek to the South Pole powered entirely by renewable energy. This incredible feat marked the launch of the ClimateForce Challenge, a 7-year campaign which is committed to removing 360 million tons of CO2 from the atmosphere. Over the last six years, Barney has developed and applied his skills in alpine mountaineering, risk management, technical sailing, and outdoor leadership.
